The membership form is obtainable on payment of non refundable fee of N2,000 renewable annually. Payment of annual or 6 monthly fee guarantee you to get club ID card, which will be renewable for the next annual or six month.

All non-member rentals. (Rackets N400, shuttle N200 each, or supply your own or purchase from ABC pro-shop). All walk-in sessions are subject to court’s availability. All kids have to be accompanied by their parents(s) or guidance(s).

ABC membership is non-transferable.

Unlimited play for members.

There will be ABC league at regular basis.

Guests and non-members must abide by all rules and regulations of ABC.

Management has the right to vary the terms and conditions of use without prior notice.

There will be a N500 automatic charge to all returned checks and or credit card declines.

ABC reserves the right to deny entry to the club by any person whose attire or demeanor is not considered by the ABC staff to be appropriate in connection with the public image of the club and its rules and regulations. No profane language or slogans on any attire is permitted in the club.

ABC members, guest and court rental guests (herein referred to as “players”) are subject to the control and guidance of ABC staff, and must wholly respect and follow staff instructions and club regulations at all times while playing in the club. Players agree to conduct themselves in a quiet and well-mannered fashion when in the club and not cause any disturbances or interfere with the safe use or enjoyment of the club by other players.

Players, guest, or staff shall not conduct, purchase, or subscribe to any unauthorized commercial business, or activity, on club premise or solicit other players nor business for any reason without the club’s prior written or verbal approval.

Upon discovery of any unlawful solicitation whatsoever upon ABC premises, ABC shall reserve all rights to revoke any membership or refuse entry of any and all players into the ABC facility.

Under no circumstances shall players interfere with the club’s conduct of its business.

Any complaints, other than those of an emergency nature or requiring immediate attention by the ABC staff, shall be made directly to ABC Management in private.

ABC is proud to maintain a family enjoyable environment with high standard.

Loud, abusive, racket throwing or hitting the net and shuttle in indiscriminately is strictly prohibited. Be courteous to other players at all times.

Retrieve the shuttle at the end of a rally when it has fallen on your side of the net and return it promptly to your opponent.

When there is no umpire, announce the score before each service.

When there are no line judges, always make fair, quick and accurate line calls. If in doubt, give your opponent the benefit.

After losing, acknowledge your opponents strength. Do not walk behind or beside a court when the shuttle is in play.

Absolutely NO BLACK SOLE OR MAKING SHOES are permitted on the badminton courts.

Proper athletic shoes (preferably badminton shoes) and clothing are required in the court areas. Please bring and change your shoes for playing. No personal clothing on court.

Failure to regard club rules and/or general misconduct may result in suspension or revocation of court privileges. Rules and regulations are subject to change from time to time as ABC management feels appropriate.

Send all entries in well before the deadline. Do not withdraw from a tournament after the draw has been made except for illness, injury or personal emergency. Be on court promptly when matches are called. Restrict on-court warm-ups to the permitted time. Accept the decisions of opponents and officials. Thank the Umpire and Service Judge after all matches and thank the Organizers before leaving.

Due to physically demanding nature of the sport of badminton, head breakage in racquet in common. Unfortunately request manufactures do not offer any warranty when a breakage occurs in the racquet head area, so do the ABC pro-shop. Equipment Discount (Yonex, Lining, Racket Restringing etc.) at management description.

Players should consult a physician before using our services and facilities. Players understand and acknowledge that ABC has no expertise in diagnosing, examining or treating any medical condition, including open cuts, abrasions, springs, sores, infections, maladies or inability to maintain personal hygiene, if such a condition poses a direct threat to the health or safety of players and others. Players agree to use the facility in accordance with all applicable public health requirements. It is the player’s responsibility to consult with a physician to determine if any of these conditions exists and, if so, whether such conditions pose a direct threat to the health and safety of the player and others. ABC reserves the right, regardless, to make the final determination.

The player agrees that by engaging in any physical exercise, class or activity, or by using any club equipment or facility on the premises, the player does so at his/ her own risk. The player agrees that he/ she is voluntarily participating and use the facility and premises (including the parking lot) and assumes all risk of injury, illness, damage or loss to the player and player’s property. The player agrees to release and discharge ABC, all affiliates, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns from any and all claims or causes of action (known or unknown) arising out of ABC’s negligence. The player acknowledges that he/she has carefully read this Waiver and Release and fully understand that it is a release of liberty. The player is waiving any right that he/she may have to bring a legal action claim against ABC for its negligence.

COACH MUHAMMAD BAKO Muhammad Bako is a discipline, hardworking man. He is very loyal and dependable. Further more his tenacity has lifted the standard of Badminton in the FCT and the country in general. His forthrightness may be construed for disrespect but on the contrary no! it is just his determination for dialogue so that things are done correctly.

I. A ABDULLAHI: Veteran Badminton Player in Abuja.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in Badminton Activities at ABUJA BADMINTON CLUB, I and/or my minor children acknowledge and agree:

That ABC will to the best of its ability, make attempts to coordinate coaching with the coach of my/our preference.

I understand that should my coach of preference be no longer available due to uncontrollable events such as but not limited to, illness, injury, death or termination, ABC will do its best to find a suitable replacement coach in a timely fashion.

That the purchase of lessons is final and non-refundable.

That all lessons are to be completed within 6 months of the date of purchase.. incomplete lessons following the 6 month period will be considered void and will not be refunded.

That credit for classes may be received for cancellation with at least 24 hours notice with approval of ABC management. Notice must be confirmed by ABC staff.

Cancellation within 24 hours or cancellation without notice with void the scheduled lesson, and no credit will be given.

ABC reserves the right to vary terms and conditions of rules and polices without prior notice.
